The Old Rectory Hotel at Martinhoe is a true haven in which to unwind and escape from day-to-day life. There are no crowds nor traffic to disturb the peace; just birdsong and jaw dropping scenery, and we're just off the South West Coast path.
Caring hospitality, stylish elegance and great locally sourced food are our hallmarks, so If you're looking for somewhere to relax and soothe the mind you really couldn't choose a better place. Originally a Georgian rectory set in its own beautiful grounds, the house has undergone a beautifully executed refurbishment to provide all the modern comforts discerning travellers expect, such as power showers and a complimentary super-fast fibre internet connection.
Each of our fabulous 11 bedrooms has a character of its own and a tasteful country chic style. Eight are in The Old Rectory while three exceptionally spoiling suites are next door in the Coach House.
Our talented executive chef, local lad Thomas Frost has more than 15 years’ experience gained at some of the best Michelin starred restaurants in London, Bristol and Devon. Our commitment to using the abundant natural larder on our doorstep in producing dishes of the highest quality is paramount. We buy local meat and fish and have an expanding kitchen garden in which we grow herbs, salads and our own vegetables.
We'd love to welcome you to our unspoilt corner of Exmoor and hope to see you soon.
