Lynton & Lynmouth Tourism

John Tuck advised that the biggest potential contributors are to be approached for their input to take the BID-Business Improvement District proposal forward. Kevin Harris proposed that LETA should conduct a review of itself since its inception and its future.

Sports events throughout year so far include the Devon Coast to Coast Ultra Marathon, Maverick Inov-8 X Exmoor, Trail Weekend–Exmoor, Two Moors Ultra & Castle 2 Coast and Exmoor Coast 50.

Bonfire Night where this year VIP tickets will be available. 

Suzette Hibbert advised there was an organising committee for the 100th Anniversary Commemoration & Celebration of the End of WW1 to be held on 11th Nov.

Broadband/Mobile Phone Reception Kevin Harris said BT in association with an ATM operator would be installing a cash machine now at the bottom and not the top of Church Steps, Lynton subject to obtaining planning approval from ENPA. The cash machine would be able to offer an enhanced Wi-Fi capability. Car Parking & Traffic Tony Meakin reported the LLTC Cemetery/Car Park sub-committee were moving forward with their plans. Tony Meakin said that the Lynton webcam is to be renewed and upgraded to pan over the Valley of Rocks as well as the centre of Lynton. 

Jenny Woolley confirmed she and Matthew Pearce would be promoting Lynton Wedding Venue at the North Devon Wedding Show at the Big Sheep in March https://www.northdevonweddingshow.co.uk/ www.lyntonweddingvenue.co.uk www.twitter.com/lyntonwedding www.facebook.com/lyntonweddingvenue Suzette Hibbert said the stairlift is still to be installed to the exterior of Lynmouth Flood Memorial Hall and the Woodside Bridge replacement is being crowdfunded.
