Short Stay Roadside Parking
Free roadside parking is limited to 2 hours in designated parking bays between 10.00am - 6.00pm from Good Friday until 31st October - outside of these times and dates there are no restrictions.
Blue Badge holders can use free roadside parking all day throughout the year.

All car parks are Pay & Display and are operated by Lynton & Lynmouth Town Council.
Coaches: Park for £ 1.00 in designated bays.
Motorhomes: Parking bays are located in the Bottom Meadow and Lower Lyndale car parks.
Blue Badge holders are chargeable in all car parks.

Car park charges apply throughout the year (including Bank Holidays) from 10:00am – 6:00pm. Hourly or 24-hour tickets can be purchased from machines located in the car parks.

Permits for longer stays are available from the Tourist Information Centre. For convenience, you can purchase permits online before your arrival.

Rover ticketsThe above Four-day & Weekly permits and 24-hour tickets can be used across all Lynton & Lynmouth car parks including the main car park in the Valley of Rocks and Watersmeet.
Exclusions: The first car park on the left in the Valley of Rocks and the Manor Foreshore in Lynmouth.

Directions by car
Lynton & Lynmouth is located on the North Devon coast, on the A39, between the towns of Minehead and Barnstaple.
From the M5 via J23 & A39 - Journey time: 1 hour 20 mins
From Bridgwater, take the A39 and follow the coastal route to Lynmouth.
From the M5 via J27 & A361 North Devon Link Road - Journey time: 1 hour 5 mins
From Tiverton, follow the A361 to the junction with the A399 at South Molton. Take the A399 to Blackmoor Gate and turn right onto the A39. Continue to Barbrook and take the left hand turn opposite the petrol station.
There is a regular bus service to and from Barnstaple and to Ilfracombe via Combe Martin during the summer.

The nearest rail stations to Lynton & Lynmouth are Barnstaple and Taunton. Tiverton Parkway quite convenient by road (A361), but cannot be directly reached by public transport.
Taunton and Tiverton Parkway are both served by fast train services from London, Bristol, Birmingham and beyond. Trains are operated by Cross Country and First Great Western.
Barnstaple is easily reached by bus, and is served by regular trains from Exeter, with onward connections across the UK.

Lynton & Lynmouth is also only 20 miles from the Minehead terminus of the West Somerset Railway, which can be reached from Lynmouth by the 300 bus service - summer only.
