Lynmouth Boat Trips

The Oxenham family have been Lynmouth boatmen for generations. Over the years they have built up a detailed knowledge of Exmoor's heritage coast.

The most beautiful part of Exmoor has the highest sea cliffs in England, broken by deep wooded river gorges, and charmingly isolated sheltered bays. On the boat trips you can discover about the remains of the limestone trade and the ruined Victorian pier, or hear stories of the paddle steamers and the famous Lynmouth Lifeboat.

The boat can get within ten metres of the seabirds
that colonise the towering cliffs above the sea, known as the 'Hidden Face of Exmoor'. The licensed sightseeing boats also fish for lobster and run mackerel drifts amidst the wildlife and magnificent scenery.

Often only one trip per day. Tides determine sailing times - as does the weather - take the opportunity when one occurs!
