The Lynton & Lynmouth Tourist Information Centre has served our area of Exmoor North Devon for over 50 years and during this time we have experienced many changes in tourism. Historically we, along with the other TICs, received a grant to provide our services. This because 98% of our day is spent giving out free information about the area. However this grant was removed completely by the North Devon District Council 3 years ago and it has become increasingly more difficult to cover our operating costs. Our main concern for the future is how we shall keep the Tourist Office open to serve the many visitors who call into see us or telephone/email with their questions and requirements to enhance their visit.

From when the Lynton & Lynmouth Tourist Information Centre took over ownership of Visit Lynton & Lynmouth we have strived with our aim to continue to develop and maintain it to be the best and most comprehensive visitor website for Lynton & Lynmouth. We are pleased with it's high ranking position on all the major search engines. It is a fully purpose designed marketing package incorporating dedicated social media accounts for Lynton & Lynmouth and wider Exmoor which are constantly targeting and engaging with visitors and potential visitors to help generate improved footfall, occupancy, PR and awareness of our magnificent area of Exmoor.
We feel two of the most important elements of the website are the accommodation guide – ‘Where to Stay' and the separate 'Eating out Guide'.
All associate members of the Lynton & Lynmouth Tourist Information Centre who offer accommodation are featured with a dedicated full page including text, location map and images. For members who offer online bookings with Eviivo and Queensborough (QBookers) a link is provided direct to their booking page.
The 'Eating out Guide' initially offers a basic listing and for an enhanced entry with pictures, text and sample menus requires the establishment to become an associate member of the Lynton & Lynmouth Tourist Information Centre.
Eating Out Guide Enhanced Listing
In order to gain greater prominence and exposure for your business, you can have a enhanced listing. These listings are placed at the top of the guide in search results, are highlighted, and also include a thumbnail photo. Additionally, a web site link / contact email is included.
