Dark sky at night, astronomers' delight
Exmoor National Park's night sky, of which Lynton & Lynmouth are central to, has been awarded special protected status. It is the first place in Europe and only the second in the world.

Opening the 100 Year Garden
Last week a celebration took place marking the opening of the hundred year garden at Lynton Art & Craft Centre. Originally a Methodist Chapel built in 1909, the design of this new garden stated in 2009 and came to fruition in 2011.
The garden, containing a new central water feature, was opened by Lynton's current mayor Tim Parker.
Dave Davies: Kinkdom Come
A new BBC film documentary detailing the life of The Kinks guitarist and Lynton resident Dave Davies has been produced for BBC Four.
Filmed in and around Dave's Lynton home on Exmoor, it contains rare and unique archival footage.
